Game 4, Dave's Medieval Portuguese.

A waterway on my left flank courtsy of Dave and 3 large wooded hills placed by me. The French ally was in ambush on my right flank, dismounted as Bd(S).

Portuguese ax(O) make a dash for the central hill (left side of the piccie) Lousy pips for the central Burgundian command prevented a proper response. The ax(O)would eventually take the hill and in the process kill the Burgundian sub General who got too close to the ZOD of one of his archers. A situation I could have easily avoided by, 1- measuring 4cm instead of 3 (doh) 2- throwing anything other than a one two bounds on the trot. I failed the required demoralisation check and the command broke. The bd(S) of the command did manage to pickup a few ax(O) though and put the Portuguese command in danger. The French ally emerges from ambush and heads towards the Portuguese English ally(top right). Annoyingly the ally threw a 6 first bound so Dave knew they were in ambush somewhere. As a result his English Ally stopped their advance. The French would though get into the English and rapidly chewed them up, breaking them.

Philip the Good, isolates the Portuguese skirmish command and wheels into the centre. A few Valets lurking at the rear waiting for a chance to mug any unsuspected light horse.

My left flank, 'held' by two bw. A sterling job they did to. Dave's right wing never really got into the action. The game ended one command a piece but Dave had the advantage, his mounted portuguese Knights were about to flatten the French allies and he would only have needed 2 more elements to take down my army.
